Charlotte’s Nursery

I always thought I would be a mother to all boys. I am not sure why but when I found out I was pregnant with a girl I was surprised and also very excited! I could not wait to shop for her room and also her wardrobe! She is my little fashionista in the making.

I wanted Charlotte’s room to feel feminine, modern, chic and girly. It is very popular right now to do neutral nurseries and stay away from pink. I totally get that however I wanted her room to feature the color pink but more as an accent and with a modern twist. I also wanted it to be different from the typical neutral toned nurseries that I always see. I chose to paint the walls with Benjamin Moore Mint Green. I could not be happier about how it turned out. It is a subtle and beautiful color. Charlotte’s crib is white wood and acrylic and is by Spot on Square. It is the same crib as my son Jack’s except a different color. As I mentioned before, this crib becomes a toddler bed so you can use it for a good amount of time. The rocking chair is the Risom Rocker from Design Within Reach. The pink and orange carpet is the Lulu Carpet by Madeline Weinrib. I think it looks amazing with the mint green walls and really ties the entire room together. The accent pillows on the bed are also by Madeline Weinrib.

One of my favorite things in Charotte’s room is the sheep by Maze and designed by Hanns Peter-Krafft. Its body is crafted in solid beechwood with sheepskin, glass eyes and leather ears. It is truly a work of art that is not necessarily meant for a kid’s room. The flamingo print above the crib is by Sharon Montrose and the moose head on the wall is by Anne-Claire Petit. The pink mirrors above the bed are by Kartell.

I loved creating this space for Charlotte. I think that it is sophisticated but also whimsical and feminine. If you have any questions or comments please reach out to me. I always love to hear from you.
