When I was pregnant for the first time I became much more concerned about not only what I was putting in my body but also what I was putting on my body. I realized that basically every single product I used was full of chemicals that I had no idea what they were. While I have not dropped every single product I use, I did start seeking more natural products with ingredients I could actually understand. I found my favorite products for my face and body are simple products that make me feel good and I know that the ingredients are good for me as well. It was hard at first because I felt like all of the “natural” products had a weird smell that I did not like and they did not really feel luxurious to me. However, as time has gone on, I have found some amazing products and brands that I have fallen in love with and want to share with you.

The brand HERBIVORE, started by husband and wife duo Julia and Alex, creates products that are safe, non-toxic and that serve a purpose. Their products contain no filler ingredients which means that everything in their products serves a purpose. The products also contain nothing synthetic and there are no animal ingredients, animal testing, plastic packaging, colors/dyes, parabens, chemicals, mineral oils, petroleum, etc. Everything is natural with the thought in mind that everything we put on our bodies is absorbed into our skin.

Below are my favorite products from the line that I have tried so far. The lip gloss smells amazing. I love the smell of rose and it goes on nice and smooth. The Rose Hibiscus Facial Mist, which also has a light rose smell is so refreshing and I usually spritz it on after I put my moisturizer on in the morning and before bed. The Coconut Milk Bath Soak smells amazing and is such a nice addition while having the luxury of taking a bath. I also love the Calm Bath Salts when my muscles feel tired and I feel stressed. The Coconut Oil body polish is a great product to exfoliate with in the shower and since it is oil based it also moisturizes your skin and smells so delicious. Lastly, the Brightening glow mask is amazing. It makes your face feel refreshed and is a great mask to use before a special event because it gives your skin some radiance.
