I can not believe that summer is almost over! I do not want it to end. I am currently on vacation with my husband back in Nantucket. The kids are in New York with my mom. I have to stress how important it is for parents to get a little break from their kids and have some “romantic”  alone time away. It is so hard to leave your kids….especially when they are babies but once you are away you find a piece of the old couple you once were before kids and it is so nice. That feeling of sleeping in, going out to eat whenever you want, going to the movies on a whim….it is so nice and really helps keep your relationship strong. It also makes you a better parent because you miss your children so much and appreciate having them in your life on a different level!

I was not going to post any more pictures from Nantucket because I am looking forward to new things and Fall is on the horizon which is my favorite season to be in New York however I could not resist these images of Jack on the beach and being here on island made me want to post them. Jack is wearing the cutest linen shirt that I found while on vacation in Capri, Italy. More details below.
