This season I love all of the metallic colors I am seeing whether it be in knitwear, evening wear, shoes, handbags, etc. I especially love metallic pleated skirts like this one by Christopher Kane. Everyone from Proenza Schouler to Zara has their version of a pleated skirt in a metallic color. I think that you can play with this look by dressing it up (as I did here) or by dressing it down with a casual top and sneakers. Metallic pieces are great for the holiday season which is quickly approaching.
Fall is my favorite time of year in Manhattan. The weather is crisp and cool, everyone is back from their summer getaways and I love the clothing. My son Jack turned two this summer and we decided to put him in school this Fall. I can’t wait to see how he changes, grows and learns from his new experiences and being around other children his age. The Oversize Puffer Coat BALENCIAGA The puffer coat has been around for a long time however this season it has a new edge with an oversized shape shown by many design houses such as Balenciaga, Burberry and Stella McCartney to name a few. My personal favorite was done by Demna Gvasalia for Balenciaga (pictured above). I love that it was constructed to be worn off the shoulder and has a very oversized shape. Practical? Not really. Cool? I think so. If I decide to buy into this trend I will likely purchase
