I am loving all of the velvet I am seeing for Fall. While velvet is hardly a new trend (there is a great picture above of Jane Birkin rocking a velvet mini), it was a major fabric of choice on the runways for FW16. Everyone from Balmain, Dries Von Noten  to one of my new favorites, Vetements, was showcasing some fantastic velvet looks. I am trying to figure out what velvet piece I want to invest in this season. Artemis Design Co. is a fashion brand that features unique textiles from around the world to create one of a kind handbags, shoes and accessories. The brand has been picked up by retailers such as Steven Alan, United Arrows of Japan and Anthropologie. This Fall burgundy is trending once again. It is a new wardrobe “neutral” that looks great on everyone. Velvet is also a huge trend for the Fall/Winter. I love a lot of the velvet shoes being shown…especially these smoking slippers from The Row. They are chic, comfortable and classic. My favorite color to pair with burgundy is grey.
